"2Checkout.com is an authorized retailer for Run with the Hunted"
This is an extra original copy of Charles Bukowski’s poem “Pick-Up..." taken from the collection “The Cruelty of Loveless Love” and given to me by the publisher. It is perfect for framing however does not come with its corresponding photograph from the complete collection. The full publication consists of 18 poems by Charles Bukowski written in the 1970s and 18 original photographs by Joan Levine Gannij. The photos were taken of Bukowski at his apartment on Carlton Way in Hollywood, California, during the same time period in which he wrote these poems. The poetry and photographs have never before been published in book form, making this portfolio an historical event for collectors, friends, and fans of Bukowski’s and Gannij’s work. The poems have been handset in a typeface matching that of Bukowski’s typewriter at the time of their writing and were printed in four colours on a Heidelberg press. The photographs were printed by hand from the original negatives under supervision of the photographer and have been tipped by hand. The complete book contains a brilliant foreward by Carl Weissner, Bukowski’s German friend, translator, and agent. The poems and photographs are presented in a beautiful clamshell box covered in Japanese silk. The portfolio is 12 3/8” wide x 14 ½” tall x 2 1/8” thick and has an original photograph of Charles Bukowski set into the cover. The edition is released with the cooperation of Black Sparrow Press. I do have several copies of the complete edition for the right collector. The retail price of these books is $1250.
Large Format would look fantastic framed!
